ANSI Triple Offset Butterfly Valve
ANSI Triple Offset Butterfly Valve
Product Overview
The ANSI Triple Offset Butterfly Valve is a high-performance isolation valve designed in accordance with American standards. By adopting a triple offset geometry, this valve achieves true metal-to-metal sealing, effectively eliminating friction between the sealing surfaces during operation. It is especially suitable for demanding applications that require tight shut-off, high temperature resistance, and long service life.
Triple Offset Design Principle
The triple offset structure refers to three carefully engineered eccentricities:
First Offset – The shaft is positioned behind the centerline of the sealing surface, reducing direct contact between the disc and seat.
Second Offset – The shaft is offset from the pipeline centerline, allowing the disc to disengage smoothly from the seat during opening.
Third Offset – A conical sealing surface ensures that the disc and seat make contact only at the final moment of closing, achieving zero leakage without rubbing.
This design significantly reduces wear, operating torque, and maintenance requirements compared with conventional butterfly valves.
