ANSI Flat Gate Valve
Product Overview
The ANSI Flat Gate Valve is a full-bore isolation valve designed in accordance with ANSI and API standards. It features a parallel flat gate structure that provides reliable shut-off and smooth flow passage. When fully open, the valve offers an unobstructed straight-through bore, ensuring minimal pressure drop and allowing pipeline pigging without restrictions. This valve is widely used in oil, gas, and industrial pipeline systems where stable sealing performance and low flow resistance are required.
Design Characteristics
The flat gate design eliminates the wedging effect commonly found in traditional gate valves. Sealing is achieved through a floating gate and self-energizing seats that respond to line pressure. This structure allows the valve to maintain tight shut-off in both upstream and downstream directions while reducing operating torque and wear.
Main design features include:
Full bore, straight-through flow path
Parallel flat gate without wedge action
Floating seats with pressure-assisted sealing
Bidirectional sealing capability
Optional double block and bleed (DBB) design
