Pneumatic Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve – API 6D, Flanged, Full Bore (Shut-off Valve)
The pneumatic trunnion mounted ball valve is designed as a critical shut-off and isolation valve for high-pressure, large-diameter pipeline systems. Manufactured in accordance with API 6D standards, it combines a robust trunnion-mounted ball structure with a double-acting pneumatic actuator to provide fast, reliable, and remote pipeline isolation.
The trunnion-mounted design fixes the ball at both the top and bottom, preventing displacement under line pressure. Pipeline pressure acts on the spring-loaded seats rather than the ball itself, ensuring stable, bubble-tight shut-off performance with significantly reduced operating torque. This makes the valve particularly suitable for emergency shutdown (ESD) and frequent isolation duties.
Equipped with a pneumatic actuator, the valve enables automated and remote operation, ensuring rapid response and safe isolation in critical pipeline conditions.
Key Features
Trunnion-mounted ball structure for reliable high-pressure shut-off service
Pneumatic actuator enables fast on/off operation for emergency isolation
Spring-loaded seats ensure bi-directional, bubble-tight sealing
Blowout-proof stem and anti-static device enhance operational safety
Fire-safe design available according to API 607 / ISO 10497
Full bore configuration minimizes pressure drop and supports pigging
Protective Coating
The valve can be supplied with epoxy or fusion-bonded coating systems designed for severe service environments. Coating options compliant with ISO 12944 provide long-term corrosion protection for offshore, coastal, and onshore pipeline installations.
